The “Hyve” in our name is the Finnish word for virtue. We believe in acting virtuously with all the work that we do. Living up to this standard wouldn’t be possible without a crew of employees who believe in doing the right thing—every single time. Doing the right thing for our clients is at the cornerstone of everything that we do.
There’s a reason why our crew and our clients are important values of Digital Hyve: without our diverse crew of marketers, and the clients who are constantly inspiring us to be better every day, there would be no Digital Hyve. Our crew is important, and each member brings a different set of skills to the table while contributing to our company’s culture. We wouldn’t be able to develop measurable and meaningful results for our clients—or have the culture we do—without our employees.
Our Employee Spotlight Series will give you a glimpse of the people responsible for the meaningful work we do!
Introducing Kylee, our Digital Marketing Assistant! Kylee started with us as an intern, and now works as an employee, helping out our execution team!
- What initially drew you to marketing? What brought you to Digital Hyve?
What initially drew me to marketing was a creative advertising class I took in high school. I thought it was super fun to figure out how to appeal certain audiences and to look at data that came from campaigns.
What brought me to Digital Hyve was the fun culture and the fact that we are always keeping up with new digital trends. Digital Hyve really never misses a beat in the marketing world.
- Which of our values do you identify with the most and why? (DH Crew, Clients, Integrity, Passion, Better Every Day)
I love that we focus so much on Better Every Day here. I really do learn something new every time I come in and I think it’s a great way to keep everyone motivated!
- What does your day to day look like at Digital Hyve?
My role here as a Digital Marketing Assistant is basically to help anyone with what they need. If a Digital Marketing Producer is super busy, I’m always there to jump in and build a Google Ads campaign. If we need some quick content I’m your girl, and if we need SEO data mapping I’m always ready to help out! I enjoy my role here because it allows me to interact with different parts of the team which is how I’m always learning something new.
- What type of marketing excites you? Why?
Disruptive advertising. When people come up with CRAZY ideas and they WORK, I love it. The fearless girl in NYC was awesome.
- The three best words to describe you?
Outgoing, driven, funny (I mean I laugh at my own jokes so I must be, right?)
- One thing that people would be surprised to know about you?
My boyfriend has a t-shirt business for jet skiing and I do all of the graphic design for the shirts! www.obsessionpowersports.com if you want to check it out! Also have a food Instagram account that I haven’t really promoted much yet @hungryafrnn.
- Most of us know about your love of jet ski riding—how did that all begin? Have you always loved being on the water?
My favorite place to be has always been my camp on the river. There’s nothing I love more than being on the water. Here is a photo of me in my element probably 3 years old. Clearly, not much has changed.
- What’s the scariest thing you’ve ever done?
Honestly, nothing really scares me other than haunted houses—I hate them. I get kinda stressed whenever October rolls around because I don’t want to experience FOMO but I also refuse to go to haunted Houses with my friends. It’s a struggle.
- Who is someone you look up to and why?
Joanna Gaines!!! Her Magnolia brand is inspiring and her work ethic and family are GOALS. Not only do I love interior design, but I also love to do things that makes people happy. The reactions of people who go into the redesigned homes by Chip and Joanna are priceless and I would love to put a look like that on someone’s face.
- We’re all foodies here at the Hyve…so it has to be asked: What’s one food you absolutely could not live without?
Top 3: Chicken Riggies, Donuts, and Ice Cream.
