employee spotlight : bridget hohl

The “Hyve” in our name is the Finnish word for virtue. We believe in acting virtuously with all the work that we do. Living up to this standard wouldn’t be possible without a crew of employees who believe in doing the right thing—every single time. Doing the right thing for our clients is at the cornerstone of everything that we do.

There’s a reason why our crew and our clients are important values of Digital Hyve: without our diverse crew of marketers, and the clients who are constantly inspiring us to be better every day, there would be no Digital Hyve. Our crew is important, and each member brings a different set of skills to the table while contributing to our company’s culture. We wouldn’t be able to develop measurable and meaningful results for our clients—or have the culture we do—without our employees.

Introducing Bridget Hohl, our fearless, fashionable, and fabulous HR Generalist! Check out her interview here:

1. What brought you to Digital Hyve?

I graduated with a marketing degree and always had a passion for advertising. I came from a customer service and sales background where I gained a lot of client experience which led me to my first role as an Account Manager at DH!

 2. Which of our values do you identify with the most and why? (DH Crew, Clients, Integrity, Passion, Better Every Day)

Such a hard question because I truly try to embody each of these. Though, I have to say, I feel our mantra of Better Every Day so deeply! I am continuously trying to learn and grow. My drive really revolves around knowing I could learn something new every day for the rest of my life and still not know it all. I try to be the best version of myself every day and my goal is to always think of how I can improve not only my experience or life, but others.

3. What does your day to day look like at Digital Hyve?

Always so different! That is one of my favorite things about what I do. I get to work with so many people and you never know exactly what situations will arise.

4. How do you connect to people in your role?

In any way I can. Every person is different, and it is important to be able to connect with someone or support them how they need it. Also, by being myself! Realistically that is how I build relationships with anyone in or outside of the office.

5. The three best words to describe you?

Optimistic, realistic, witty

6. What’s one thing you absolutely can’t live without?

I cannot live without fashion. There is nothing like walking into a room with an awesome outfit on and a pair of great shoes. Confidence builder and helps you demand a presence in any room.

7. What do sunflowers mean to you on every level?

Growing up I lived close by a sunflower field and can recall from years and years of driving by or running by the image of what it looks like every summer. It will forever be engraved in my mind, so reminds me a bit of home. Also, I have a sunflower tattoo that I adore. Sunflowers turn in the direction of light, they stand tall and proud, and bring others joy. That’s my goal every day.

8. If you had to pick one candy/chocolate to eat the rest of your life what would it be?

MY HEART CAN’T CHOOSE ONE. 100% some type of chocolate. Probably a chocolate caramel peanut cluster… Turtles as some call them.

9. What are your main interests and hobbies outside of work?

I really love art. I paint and draw, but also really enjoy local art shows and craft fairs. Running/working out is a big part of my life as well. Feels good to feel good! Other interests and hobbies include hanging with my dogs, friends, and family along with baking (boxed brownies ya girl has no skill), fashion, shopping, and music (listening and attending concerts, once again ya girl has no skill).

10. What’s the most important thing you’ve learned in the past 5 years?

I have learned a lot about what time truly means. Not only from my standpoint, but others. It shows us what we can get through, heals us, presents new opportunities, is one of the most unpredictable measurements while so easily displayed on a clock, and continues to show me no matter how technologically advanced the world gets, human connection will always be important (yes, yes, I know I work at a digital marketing agency).
